Each made from quality English Oak, built up from 2 layers of 6 segments. The largest being approximately 18” diameter with a constant wall thickness of 3/8”. These have been joined together to form and hexagonal blank and turned on my lathe. No visible fixing holes can be seen on the front or back so you can choose whatever method to fasten them in place. I have added a small radius on the inside corner to finish them off. I produced a mountain of wood turning shavings making these :). If you would like something similar I can make these to order. (I’ve just been asked to make a set of Oval portholes – I’ll show the end results here when complete).
